Future development

What we are working on next. Everything under Planned is exactly that — planned, not shipped. We do not promise release dates, and we do not list anything here that is not actually being worked on.

Three editions

MultiDeskKore comes in three editions. Only the first is available now.

MultiDeskKore Solo — Single Host AVAILABLE NOW

The current release (V1/RC1). One Windows host serving multiple remote user accounts and sessions over Remote Desktop. The features below, under “In Version 1 — shipped”, are this edition. Pricing · Trial

MultiDeskKore Fleet — Multi-Host IN DEVELOPMENT — V2

Multiple hosts managed from one central console, with automatic placement (broker), a host API, app inventory, and central aggregation of clients. Per-host licences. No release date or price announced.

MultiDeskKore Station — Same Machine IN DEVELOPMENT

Local multiseat: multiple users on the same physical machine, each with their own separate keyboard, mouse and monitor — separate seats on one PC. No release date or price announced.

Feature status

One consistent status for every feature, used across the website, the trial page and the documentation. Verified means proven by a recorded test. Available, verification pending means the feature is in the product but its live behaviour has not yet been proven by a recorded test — ask us for the current status before relying on it. Planned means in development or planned, not shipped.

In Version 1 — shipped (MultiDeskKore Solo, Single Host)

What the product does today. See How it works and the Documentation for detail.

Separate sessions, one host

Several people work on the same Windows 10 Pro host at the same time, each in their own session, with their own desktop and files. Purchased seats limit user accounts — one seat is one user account on one licensed host, and the host user (console admin) does not count as a seat. Only accounts created through the console can sign in. If a user disconnects, their session stays open and comes back when they sign in again.

One local console

Sessions, users, host resources, licence and audit log in a web console on the host itself. The admin creates accounts and manages sessions from one place — no extra software to install to administer it.

Trial, buying and licences

A 3-day trial key from the console's Licence page — 1 host + 2 remote users, hardware-bound — so reinstalling does not restart it. Buy from inside the console; after payment verification the licence key is emailed to you. One-time pricing: $29.99 for one seat, $99.99 for five, $10 for each additional seat beyond five.

Training manuals

Quick start, installation, administrator and end-user guides, requirements and troubleshooting — in the console Help section, on the website, and as downloadable PDFs.

Honest note: consent-based screen assistance (shadowing), per-user app allow/deny and the support-ticket round-trip ship in Version 1, and final on-host verification of those three is still in progress. Ask us for the current status before relying on any one of them.

Planned — coming next

In development. No release dates promised.

Zero thin clients PLANNED — V1.1

Diskless thin clients that boot over the network (PXE boot). The host serves a lightweight system to the thin client, so there is no disk and no local operating system to maintain on the device itself.

Off-site internet RDP PLANNED

Reach your local host securely from outside, over the internet — not only on the local network. Version 1 is local-network use; this adds a secure way in from elsewhere.

MultiDeskKore Fleet — Multi-Host (V2) PLANNED

Multiple hosts managed from one central console, with automatic placement (broker), a host API, app inventory, and central aggregation of clients. Per-host licences. Version 1 is one host; this adds the Fleet edition.

MultiDeskKore Station — Same Machine (local multiseat) PLANNED

Multiple physical seats — a monitor, keyboard and mouse per user — connected directly to one host, with no network needed. Version 1 is remote desktop over the network; this adds the local-seat option on the same physical machine.

Windows 11 qualification PLANNED

Testing and qualifying MultiDeskKore on Windows 11. Windows 11 has not been tested, and we do not claim Windows 11 compatibility. Version 1 is tested on Windows 10 Pro, version 22H2.

HTML5 browser desktop access PLANNED

Open a desktop session from a web browser, with no Remote Desktop client to install. A Solo and Fleet capability.

Published applications PLANNED

Publish a single application, RemoteApp-style, without opening a full desktop session. A Solo and Fleet capability.

Automatic host failover PLANNED

If a host fails, sessions move to another host automatically. This needs a separate availability design — a broker alone does not provide it. A Fleet capability.
